The XR8D is the ultimate evolution of the incredibly popular and powerful TR8D, and it is a favourite for a good reason. Offering a chipping speed on material up to 8” which will outstrip a much larger machine and aggression not seen before, this machine is a true performance tool.

Features

• FörstGrip feedroller system: Twin hydraulic horizontal feed roller system offering exceptional grip on timber. The large top feed lifts on an arc, climbing toward the timber rather than lifting straight up and down, this makes climbing butt ends exceptional. High tension due to twin heavy duty springs and a large bearings supporting either side of the top feed roller ensures strength and durability
• AutoIntelligence control: A simple yet advanced electrical control system taking care of all the electrics on the machine. Historically electrics on plant and machinery are a troublesome – AutoIntelligence overcomes this with a completely water and vibration proof system designed and tested in the toughest environments. This system gives excellent usability and outstanding reliability, it will also make you aware when servicing is due and will recommend routine maintenance.
• 'Open top' chipping disc: 2 x 10” blades mounted on an ‘open top’ chipping disc deliver a phenomenal chipping performance and chip quality and don’t allow for blockages anywhere on the disc or in the chipping chamber.
• Tier 4 compliant diesel engine: Hosting a 55hp Doosan diesel engine with no need for DEF fluid. This is an incredibly quiet engine delivering fuel efficiency and ample power.
• Touch Button feed controls: Illuminated, heavy duty, touch pad, IP69 rated feed controls easily located on either side of the hopper make the machine easy to use. Feed rollers are also controlled by the traditional feed bar.
• Robust construction: Robust build quality with heavy gauge steel where it is needed and plenty of support under the hopper to ensure the machine will stand up to everything
• Simplicity of maintenance: It’s as important to have a good anvil as it is to have sharp blades. The anvil on our chippers can be turned, or replaced, in a matter of minutes. It couldn’t be simpler.
• Clear easy fill fuel tank: Clear, easy fill, 7.6 gallon tank with large neck for all types of filling method.
• Optional lighting tower: An optional lighting tower to for night work gives not shortage of light. The Aluminium pump action mast with internal lighting cable extends to 3.5m and holds 2 x 4692 lumen LED lights to really turn night into day.
• Traxion side angle system: Tough and robust scissor action parallel leg system gives this machine exceptional versatility allowing you to expand and retract the legs independently to make for safe tracking on the bank side or simply to negotiate over obstacles.
